Been away awhile sorting things out and trying to finish up some pieces..The first of which will be posted this evening. Which brings us to the GoFundMe page.
I will be posting the photos and particulars on this project this evening as well. As I said I need to raise close to 20 K in US $$$ to pay for our part of my wife's surgery. Yeah that's a big nut to crack but it is do-able with what I have in mind. The details will be posted this evening. I will post again once everything is up and ready tonight.
THANK YOU for the interest,
Limited Edition Pattern Welded European Swords
An update...the above mentioned limited series will be 25 pieces done in the European Style. To be honest..this is in answer to a dire need to raise funds for my wife Sue's upcoming surgery. I need to raise at least $20,000.00 to pay our part of the cost. I need to raise these funds ASAP.
This is a heads up and I will go into length shortly on the sword details...These will be made to order. More details will be posted this evening on my in stock pages.
Other news: will be posting more pieces this weekend in pattern welded steel. Please take a look.
As always if you have any questions by all means please feel free to ask.
Thank you for your interest in Salamander Armoury
Update and a Passing
An update on my Memorial Day Sale. The sale is progressing quite nicely with quite a few pieces already sold so I suggest if there is anything you wish to acquire during this sale please do so ASAP cause it my not be here when you return.
Sad Passing: Muhammed Ali, dies at 74.
I have mixed feelings about the man.I for one did not care for his politics or some of his beliefs..I admit that openly and freely. With that being said..I must say that I respected that man immensely. Some call him a draft dodger..If I hear someone say that about him I am likely to go off and punch them in the nose. He was NOT. He was a draft PROTESTER..He opposed the draft that would of sent him off to fight in a conflict he did not believe in. He never once bowed his head and ran off to Canada or someplace else..nor did he join a college just to get a deferment. NO..instead he stood fast and then he made the following statement..with the convictions of a true believer:
"Why should me and other so called Negroes go 10,000 miles away from home, here in America, to drop bombs and bullets on other innocent brown people who's never bothered us?... and I will say directly: No I will NOT go"..
He stood up for what he believed in..he didn't whine, he didn't run, he did NOT hide. He took his licks for what he did and that was simply civil disobedience.. He refused, peacefully to go and then he did his time and endured everything that was thrown at him. And for that..Mr Ali has my respect for you see...I spent 32 years of my life defending this man's right (and those like him) to protest, to be part of a type of protest that was started many years ago by another great man ..Mohandis Gandhi and that is Civil Disobedience..which is simply not doing something that you were told to ..not rioting, not fighting..not complaining, just simply not doling it.. And for that he was jailed..However Mr Ali endured and came back with even more drive and conviction..He did his time.. He did not dodge anything..he did not complain..he stood his ground for his beliefs and for that...he has my undying respect and he or anyone like him can drink from my canteen any time.
Rest in peace Mr Ali...rest in peace..
