Hello:

An update on Sue..She has been moved into an extended stay facility due to the fact that she needs a good deal of physical therapy. She can no longer stand or walk. I do not know what happened to her when she broke her leg but the orthopaedic surgeon said she should of been up and walking a few steps on the first day after surgery. Instead she was in ICU for almost a month and a half. Now she is fading and I do not know what to do other than wait and see...So that is what I am doing. Thankfully our son Nick is helping out around here as much as he can, and that is a great help..

Other things: I am spending as much time as I can with Sue cause I do not know how much time I will have with her. Sounds a bit morbid and gloomy I know... I am able to get a small amount of work done and Nick is helping a bit but he doesn't have the touch or skill levels yet. I am still recovering from my own health problems with that  damn infection that laid me low and I am not able to do much of anything as far as big pieces go as yet, but I am working away at them bit by bit.

The sale is still ongoing, and I am grateful to those that are taking advantage of it. I will be posting several Crucible Damask pieces in the next few days. These were done for the "Wootz" section on book IV and they are very different and quite nice (so far anyway..we still have to do the grips) so I will be doing an update when they are posted. This material IS the "original crucible steel".. It takes a good deal of heat and time at temperature to get this  steel to turn out properly and well..It is a very interesting material to work with.

In closing I would like to thank everyone who has called or written in expressing their concerns about Sue. All the prayers and well wishes mean a LOT..THANK YOU.

Stay safe  and more will be coming.

THANK YOU all once again.

Update:

News on Sue...She has been transferred to an extended care facility in Hudson for physical therapy and  to help facilitate her recovery. She was in hospital for a month and I have no idea as to how long she will be  at the extended care facility. The next few days will be for evaluation on her condition. Needless to say I am a wreck ...

New items are posted. 6 very nice sgain dubhs and 4 more of the Japanese style swords I am finishing up for book IV..These new swords are GORGEOUS and the prices have been adjusted to my situation. So please take a look and see what we have added. These are really nice pieces...

I wish to thank all that have written in ..your care and concern is appreciated. I am still spending as much time with Sue as I can  but I am getting back to work on a limited basis until her condition improves to a point  as to where I can go back to full time..

Thank you once again...

Update on Sue:

She is doing a bit better but she is still in the hospital and there are no immediate plans for her discharge as yet.  This whole thing is very stressful and well I am spending as much time there with her as I can. She has been in there almost a full month. There are many, many questions I would like to have answered and yet for some reason her Doctor refuses to even speak with me after numerous requests for him to do so. This is NOT good at all..but this discussion is for another time..

Sue is still a bit confused at times but hopefully this will lessen as time passes. I just want her home and healthy. Her birthday is coming up on the 13th of this month and I really hope she doesn't have to spend it in the damn hospital..

Other news: or coffers are about empty. Between my getting that damn infection and now Sue laid low with a broken leg things here have been slow production wise. On Sunday, July 09. 2023 I will be placing everything on sale with dramatically reduced prices. This sale will run 5 days. I will also be adding 4 more Japanese swords that I finished for book IV as well as 6 sgain dubh boot knives. I will post here once everything is photographed and listed on this sitey

All in all I wish to say THANK YOU to all of you who have sent in well wishes and expressed concern about Sue. It is so greatly appreciated.

In closing thank you...thank you very, very much

Hello:  An update on my wife Sue's condition. She is still hospitalized i Brooksville. She is now conscience but still quite a bit confused. She doesn't remember what happened before the surgery or even the fact that she had surgery. Hopefully this is a temporary condition. Physically she is doing fine so far..The surgeon said that everything looks good but she still can not stand on her own as they want her to be up and walking on the new knee as soon as possible. Hopefully that will happen in the next few days. All in all she still has a good ways to go on her recovery. I am spending as much time with her as I can and thankfully our son Nick is here to help with things. We both are hoping that she continues to improve.

I wish to thank you all for the kind words and sentiments..They are appreciated...I will be posting more updates as things progress
